This clip is taken from the 42-minute video, Aimé Césaire: Poet and Statesman, produced by Mosaic Media Arts and videotaped and edited by Full Duck Productions. The video presents an interview with the most influential French Caribbean poet of the twentieth century and a leader whose visionary statesmanship in Martinique insired a renewal of French Caribbean culture. The clip shows Césaire, nearing his 80th birthday, as he responds to questions about how nature inspired his poetry and is illustrated with scenes of his native Martinique landscape.
