Two adopted daughters playing at a family gathering

Asked to reduce a full day of orientation lectures into a single 2
1/2 hour video that adoptive parents could take home with them, Full
Duck produced an information-packed package.
Challenge: Replace monthly informational meetings that lasted
all day with a single videotape that can be viewed and reviewed in potential
client homes of couples that wish to adopt a Chinese child. Minimize costs.
Solution:
Full Duck Productions scheduled one 6-hour shoot of lectures and
cutaway shots of parents, children and child care materials using a non-digital camera. In the
studio, Full Duck copied clients' VHS tapes of trips to China. Then
Full Duck edited the client tape and FDP tape into a 2.5-hour VHS video
covering planning, child care, traveling to China to receive an
adoptive baby and bonding with the baby. Extensive cutaways illustrate the lectures.
